چکیده
Abstract Background Intracranial atherosclerosis, one of the leading causes ischemic stroke, is associated with an increased risk for recurrent stroke and dementia. Objective This work was carried out to assess suspicious lesions detected by Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA) Computed Tomgraphy (CTA) further evaluation vessel wall MRI . Patients methods study conducted on 16 patients who were admitted Ain Shams University Specialized Hospital establilished diagnosis (11 intracranial 3 CNS vasculitis 2 Moya-moya disease ) performing brain including magnetic resonance angiography that showed stenosis, then referred Misr Radiology Center vasculopathies MR Imaging using 3.0-tesla (T) field strengths. Results The results statistically significant difference between groups as regard stenosis (>50%). It prominent among moya group (100.0%) followed atherosclerotic (81.8%), whereas shows mild (0.0%). Conclusion imaging adjunct conventional angiographic

Multicontrast high-resolution vessel wall magnetic resonance imaging and its value in differentiating intracranial vasculopathic processes.
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Although studies have attempted to differentiate intracranial vascular disease using vessel wall magnetic resonance imaging (VWI), none have incorporated multicontrast imaging. This study uses T1- and T2-weighted VWI to differentiate intracranial vasculopathies. METHODS We retrospectively reviewed patients with clinically defined intracranial vasculopathies causing lumi...
متن کاملCervial artery dissection: value of 3D high resolution vessel wall magnetic resonance imaging for diagnosis and follow-up
Background Cervical artery dissection (CD) is an important cause of stroke in young and middle-aged patients. Sampling perfection with application-optimised contrast using different flip angle evolutions (SPACE) sequence can provide fast 3D isotropic T1 FS images, with very good dark blood contrast. This study aims to demonstrate the value of a 3D fat-saturated SPACE for the diagnosis and follo...
